White Labelling MX Records

Learn how to whitelabel your MX records so you can use your own domain branding for your MX records instead of mx1.improvmx.com

ImprovMX enterprise users can white-label their MX records, meaning domains needing email forwarding would set mx records like mx1.yourcompany.com, instead of mx1.improvmx.com. This can be useful if you provide email forwarding services to your own clients, and you want the DNS record setup instructions to fully match your company's branding. Or if you want all your public DNS records to be consistently branded.

Note that forwarding under white-labeled MX records functions exactly the same as with normal ImprovMX MX records, it's purely a cosmetic difference.

Instructions

Let's say your customer is forwarding for clientmail.com, and you want to provide them white labelled mx records like mx1.piedpiper.com.

1) Set WhiteLabel DNS Settings

First, navigate to clientmail.com's dashboard, and visit the Custom Settings tab. Input the white-labelled domain of piedpiper.com, and it will give you a set of DNS records you'll need to set up for piedpiper.com.

2) Set New Custom MX Records

Next, in clientmail.com's DNS Settings pane, you'll see the new MX records that you'll use instead of the normal mx1.improvmx.com style records. Set the new MX and SPF records in clientmail.com's DNS, and you're good to go!
